Novateck - Roboter Robot Promoter
Robot:

The now-defunct Italian company Novateck Robotics should never have put a miniature saxophone in its robot's hand. Unfortunately they did, and now they've earned a spot on this blog.
The sax dancing begins approximately 1:10 into the video, which unfortunately cannot be embedded. Note the video title, "Humanoid Robot Play Sax Robot Musician", which is highly misleading.
Fake because:
The robot is just dancing. Even if it had lungs, it wouldn't be able to play the saxophone because the sax is Just Too Small.

Welcome to Fake Robot Musicians!
There are more robots playing musical instruments today than ever before. These robots have been worked on long and hard, and there's something special about them. If this sounds like the kind of robot you'd like to hear about, you may want to go here.
This blog is for Fake Robot Musicians. Our goal is not to expose them for the frauds they are, but rather to celebrate their unique non-abilities, and explain why they will never be able to perform "for real."
Robots on this blog will be given a rigorous examination to find out exactly what it is that keeps them from being true performers. To make the cut, a robot must fail one of these requirements:
1) be a robot
2) be a musician
A Robot:
-has a computer brain
-has a mechanical body
-usually appears autonomous
A Musician can be:
-an instrumentalist
-a vocalist
-a composer or songwriter
-a conductor
Stay tuned for Fake Robot Musicians!

Robots:
These robot wannabes were spotted in Nottingham by webshots user brian1959.

Fakeness:
The robot figures appear to all have the same shape. They are not sufficiently specialized enough to play their instruments, even if the instruments were real.
